Acclaimed alt-rock/folk troupe HOLY MOLY & THE CRACKERS kicked off 2019 touring and they’ll see it out doing much the same – bringing their riotous party music to the masses. Their recently released third album, Take A Bite (released April 5th 2019 on the band’s own Pink Lane Records), captured the band’s concise, passionate take on folk, blues and indie rock, rammed with melody, energy and positivity.

With echoes of Beach House to Brian Eno, ‘The Santa Rosa Song’ is a soul-stirring brew of powder-snow harmonies, pattering minimalist percussion and wide-eyed orchestration.

September 2019 sees Spear Of Destiny embark on a 20 date UK tour where they will celebrate the 35th anniversary of their sophomore album One Eyed Jacks.

I caught up with Kirk and chatted about why he decided to re-record the album, the tour and of course some of the memories from the past 35 years.

ELVANA is the embodiment of a ‘joke that got out of hand’. What started as a bunch of friends from the North East of England assembling an Elvis fronted Nirvana tribute for a friend’s fancy dress party has snowballed 4 years later into a tribute act that has taken the UK by storm.

To cap off an amazing 2019, which including sell out shows at O2 Shepherds Bush Empire, Nottingham Rock City and Manchester Albert Hall, as well as main stage appearances at Download Festival and 3 triumphant Glastonbury shows, the band everyone is talking about are embarking on a headline tour of the UK starting in October stretching through to March 2020.

Owing to not being in the country when they toured the UK in February, I missed their show in Exeter. I since found out that they have announced a MASSIVE UK and Ireland headline tour throughout September and October and there was no way I was going to pass up the opportunity to see one of the hottest bands on the planet right now.

We caught up with them and chatted about them performing FIVE times at Glastonbury Festival, their latest single, performing in America, how the new album is shaping up and whether or not the fox masks will be making a return to their live shows. Read on for all this and more….

‘Two Times’ has everything we have come to expect of Arliston, and quite a bit more.

Things weren’t looking good, with a yellow weather warning issued by the Met Office a couple of days ahead of BEAUTIFUL DAYS FESTIVAL threatening a month’s worth of rain in a day. Everyone packed for storm force conditions, Noah started work on his ark and Pete’s Ponchos were completely cleared out. But we’re talking about an event where a drop of the wet stuff wasn’t going to deter the hardy festival goers, many of which treat this as an annual pilgrimage, a place to catch up with old friends, sink a cider or five and enjoy some of the finest music there is to offer. Was it to be a complete wash out? or would the sun finally come out shining and dry up all mud, only time would tell!

Tonight was CLARA BOND’S night, she was releasing her brand new Crown EP at Exeter’s Cavern Club and we were there to watch the events unfold, read on to see how the evening progressed….

Boardmasters today announced that refunds will be soon be available for tickets purchased from the Boardmasters website and through official ticket outlets.

Due to forecasted severe weather conditions, specifically high winds, Boardmasters 2019 has been cancelled. 

Much-loved Welsh band Funeral For A Friend are back, for two shows only, in aid of a cause very close to their hearts. The special performances will take place at The Globe in Cardiff on 28th October and at London’s O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire on 29th October.
