‘REVOLUTION OF MIND’ - THE BBC 6MUSIC ALBUM OF THE YEAR OUT NOW

Sam Fender is very pleased to release his debut album, Hypersonic Missiles. It is out now via Polydor Records.

It’s been a while since PIXIES have set foot onto Devon soil, okay, the last time they ventured down this way was for their 2014 appearance at The Eden Sessions but  I like to imagine the quartet sitting down in a Devon eatery enjoying a traditional ‘Devon’ Cream Tea en route (cream first of course….non of that Cornish nonsense) prior to completing their journey across the Tamar! I may of course be wrong, they might have a caravan somewhere on the North Devon coast and enjoy short breaks as a band, munching on pasties and eating copious amounts of ice cream in the process, I could of course be wrong….very wrong!

7 DATE UK NOVEMBER HEADLINE TOUR INCLUDING LONDON’S ELECTRIC BRIXTON ON NOVEMBER 28, 2019

Fickle Friends have added their tropical spin to Flawes’ latest single ‘Here To Stay’ with a remix, released via Red Bull Records. Mutual fans of one another, the two bands met via their producer and have been looking for an opportunity to collaborate since.

Following the announcement last week that he’ll play a string of intimate UK shows this October which subsequently sold out almost immediately, Miles Kane today releases a feel-good video for his latest single, ‘Blame It On The Summertime’ – just in time for the UK’s next mini heatwave! The tour will include a must-see sold out show at London’s Electric Ballroom on 16th October.

Marking the 20th Anniversary of their seminal singles collection - SHED SEVEN - are pleased to announce a deluxe expanded edition of: ‘Going For Gold’.

English melodic death metal outfit Necronautical recently released their newest gift of evil to the world, titled so aptly Apotheosis, which literally means - “....the highest point in development....”.

We took a listen to the entire record, read on to see what we thought.

“Like Strummer, Bragg and Duckworth before him, Sean McGowan possesses a world-weary spirit and an ability to translate that resignation into wryly observed studies of the human condition… A unique talent.”

‘The Wire’ is the second single from Daniel Steer’s forthcoming solo album, the track is set for release on 27th September, produced by Tommy Gleeson (Slaves to Gravity, Feeder) and mixed by Chris Sheldon (Biffy Clyro, Foo Fighters).

GLOBAL STADIUM ‘THE HELLA MEGA TOUR’ WITH FALL OUT BOY AND WEEZER COMES TO THE UK AND IRELAND NEXT JUNE

Acclaimed alt-rock/folk troupe HOLY MOLY & THE CRACKERS kicked off 2019 touring and they’ll see it out doing much the same – bringing their riotous party music to the masses. Their recently released third album, Take A Bite (released April 5th 2019 on the band’s own Pink Lane Records), captured the band’s concise, passionate take on folk, blues and indie rock, rammed with melody, energy and positivity.

With echoes of Beach House to Brian Eno, ‘The Santa Rosa Song’ is a soul-stirring brew of powder-snow harmonies, pattering minimalist percussion and wide-eyed orchestration.

September 2019 sees Spear Of Destiny embark on a 20 date UK tour where they will celebrate the 35th anniversary of their sophomore album One Eyed Jacks.

I caught up with Kirk and chatted about why he decided to re-record the album, the tour and of course some of the memories from the past 35 years.

ELVANA is the embodiment of a ‘joke that got out of hand’. What started as a bunch of friends from the North East of England assembling an Elvis fronted Nirvana tribute for a friend’s fancy dress party has snowballed 4 years later into a tribute act that has taken the UK by storm.

To cap off an amazing 2019, which including sell out shows at O2 Shepherds Bush Empire, Nottingham Rock City and Manchester Albert Hall, as well as main stage appearances at Download Festival and 3 triumphant Glastonbury shows, the band everyone is talking about are embarking on a headline tour of the UK starting in October stretching through to March 2020.

Owing to not being in the country when they toured the UK in February, I missed their show in Exeter. I since found out that they have announced a MASSIVE UK and Ireland headline tour throughout September and October and there was no way I was going to pass up the opportunity to see one of the hottest bands on the planet right now.

We caught up with them and chatted about them performing FIVE times at Glastonbury Festival, their latest single, performing in America, how the new album is shaping up and whether or not the fox masks will be making a return to their live shows. Read on for all this and more….

"A great band, with lovely harmonies who opened for us last year. I’m sure they’ll continue to go from strength to strength in 2019." - Robert Plant

“From bluesy guitars that storm and shimmer to unison vocals that build to a massive group sing-along. It heads straight for the brain's joy receptors, and damned if it doesn't hit its target.” - NPR

“A rich and fully realised sound that leaves you pining for a full length.” - Rolling Stone
