Formed in Birmingham in 1989, OCS spent six years fine-tuning their sound before lighting up the Britpop party with three Top 5 albums; 1996’s ‘Moseley Shoals’, 1997’s ‘Marchin’ Already’ and 1999’s ‘One From The Modern’. The band has also achieved seventeen Top 40 singles, including a staggering run of nine successive Top 20 singles and a mantelpiece full of awards.

His music is faultless, even with the faults ; flawless, even with the flaws - there are very few of either. It’s like he’s created his own, unique brand of Americana, set in Australia, infused with folksy overtones and that clarion clear voice. His humour is highly developed - ‘You don’t need to rock out to be a rock roller.’ There’s a story about London but then he self-deprecates ‘there’s nothing there…’ This cultivated, easy-going charisma is what keeps us coming back for more.

Following the release of his latest and ninth album (watch my moves) back in 2022, acclaimed musician, songwriter and producer Kurt Vile & The Violators finally announces a 2023 headline tour set to stop in eight UK cities including SWX in Bristol on the 15th June ahead of a summer of European dates and festivals.

Acclaimed musician, songwriter and producer Kurt Vile and his band The Violators announces a headline tour of the UK and Europe, including an appearance at Black Deer Festival and London’s legendary Koko on Monday 12th June.  The Koko show is Vile’s first headline show in London since 2019 and follows the release of his critically acclaimed ninth album (watch my moves) released on Verve Records last year.
