EROTIC SECRETS OF POMPEII are an amazing band, we’ve seen them a couple of times over the past year and are looking forward to catching them in Exeter in early 2026 on their UK tour. In the meantime, we reached out to ESOP HQ to ask if they’d like to take part in our ‘5 FROM 25’ feature, naturally, they jumped at the opportunity, read on to see what 5 ‘things’ they chose from the year that was 2025….

1. The release of our second album Pitchfork Libra.

This marks a new, exciting chapter for us. The album is the first to feature Louise Schwarz on bass (previously having played harp and guzheng on our debut album Mondo Maleficum).

2. Touring the new album across the UK and Europe.

We got to meet and connect with loads of new fans and awesome people we met along the way! Also, some of the great musicians we got to share the stage with including Ben Brown!

3. Getting Killed by Geese

An album of great hooks hiding in dark little corners. The arrangements and texturing are simple but amazing and it feels like most of it was recorded in one room, in one take - in the best way!

4. You’re Weird Now by Guerilla Toss

Manic, wacky fun featuring collaboration with Stephen Malkmus who also produced the album. We love it for the absurd lyrics and buzzing energy, topping up my day when I’m feeling lacklustre.

5. It's a Beautiful Place by Water from Your Eyes

The array of genre bending is a kaleidoscopic collage of sounds; combining guitar rock, electronic and country twang with deadpan lyrical delivery and weird time shifts make this a beguiling album.
