The Last Dinner Party aren’t just back — they’re burning brighter than ever. With a 35-date headline tour stretching from Dublin to Oslo, and a sophomore album that promises to turn heartbreak into folklore, the London five-piece are rewriting the rules of theatrical indie-pop.
Their upcoming record, From The Pyre, drops 17th October via Island EMI, and if the lead single “This Is The Killer Speaking” is any indication, we’re in for a darker, more elemental chapter. Produced by Grammy-winner Markus Dravs (Wolf Alice, Florence & The Machine), the album trades opulence for rawness, myth for metaphor — a sonic shift that feels both deliberate and deeply personal.
“The Pyre is an allegorical place… of violence and destruction but also regeneration, passion and light,” the band explains. “Heartbreak laughs into the face of the apocalypse.”
It’s a bold evolution from their debut Prelude to Ecstasy, which catapulted them to BRIT Award glory and sold-out shows across the globe. But From The Pyre isn’t chasing past success — it’s dancing with ghosts, saints, and blazing infernos. The lyrics invoke rifles and floods, Joan of Arc and Mother Earth, all stitched together with a knowing wink and a theatrical flourish.
The tour kicks off 14th November at Dublin’s 3Arena, winding through the UK and Ireland before heading to Australia, Europe, and finally Oslo’s Sentrum Scene on 6th March. Fans who pre-order the album get early access to tickets — and if history’s any guide, they’ll go fast.
For a band that made their name at the dinner table, this next chapter feels like a ritual — a burning of the old, a celebration of the new, and a reminder that storytelling, when done right, can feel like prophecy.
