Step into a world where “Heart-Shaped Box” collides with hip-swiveling rockabilly—Elvis Presley risen from the grave fronting Nirvana’s catalogue in a sweaty, joyous ritual. On 29 November, Elvana: Elvis-Fronted Nirvana transform Arena Torquay into Disgraceland’s wildest mosh pit.
From Newcastle upon Tyne to global stages, Elvana have perfected a tongue-in-cheek concept that’s equal parts reverence and rebellion. Founded in 2014 by four grunge-loving musicians who realised they didn’t look a thing like Kurt Cobain, they donned jumpsuits and sideburns—and the legend was born.
They tear through Nirvana classics (“Smells Like Teen Spirit,” “Come As You Are”), then splice in Elvis’s swaggering riffs and playful “uh-huh-huhs.” The lead singer’s “everyday, slightly-dodgy” Elvis impersonation is pure punk rock: warm, larger-than-life, and never taking itself too seriously. Fans of both icons march in unison, singing, air-guitaring, and flipping between “Blue Suede Shoes” and “In Bloom.”
Elvana shows aren’t just concerts—they’re communal ceremonies of distortion and nostalgia. Expect:
Cinematic Transitions: Overdrive meets upright bass slaps as the set morphs from “Lithium” into “Jailhouse Rock.”
Mash-Up Finale: A frenetic “All Apologies”/“Hound Dog” hybrid that leaves bodies bruised and hearts bursting.
Visual Feast: Jumpsuits drenched in stage smoke, vintage microphones, and flashing video clips of Cobain and Presley colliding on screen.
Every chord feels like a head-on collision of eras—and you’re right at the epicentre.
Doors swing open at 7:00 pm, with Special Guests slotting in at 7:45 pm. Elvana take the stage at 9:00 pm sharp.
