SPEED set to ignite BURN IT DOWN FESTIVAL 2026 as Saturday headliner....

March 30, 2026

Burn It Down Festival has dropped a seismic announcement for its 2026 edition: Australian hardcore heavyweights Speed will headline the Saturday of the seaside weekender, bringing a no‑barrier set to Torquay’s English Riviera.

Their arrival places them alongside a stacked bill that already includes Drug Church, As It Is, Unpeople, and a wave of rising and established alternative acts.

The Sydney crew make the long haul to the UK for Burn It Down’s 2026 instalment, running 3–5 September across four venues. It follows a huge few years for the band, who have become one of modern hardcore’s most authentic and recognisable forces. After supporting Malevolence in the UK and Turnstile across the US last year, Speed have taken their passionate grooves — and yes, those unmistakable flute solos — to major stages including Outbreak, Tied Down, Coachella, and more.

Their Burn It Down appearance reunites them with their Ireland tour co‑headliners Drug Church, who also top the bill this year. Drug Church arrive fresh from a historic run supporting Deftones, following a massive 2025 spent touring with Blink‑182, Alkaline Trio, and Drain. With a cult‑like following built on a run of impassioned, thumping albums, their presence at Burn It Down feels like a perfect match — and they’re bringing something fans have been begging for. Drug Church will lead the festival’s first ever no‑barrier day on Saturday 4 September, transforming the Foundry stage into an adrenaline‑fuelled, emotional free‑for‑all. The move follows the explosive no‑barrier set from Guilt Trip in 2025, which became one of the festival’s defining moments.

Speed and Drug Church now stand as two of Burn It Down’s three 2026 headliners, joining a lineup that celebrates both global names and homegrown champions of the alternative scene. As It Is make their Burn It Down debut, appearing for the first time alongside Spy, Spaced, and Dry Socket, who hit the festival as part of their major UK tour.

Returning favourites also feature heavily. Unpeople, who tore apart the Apple & Parrot stage in 2024, finally make their hugely requested Main Stage debut. Crossover titans Grove Street and the thunderous PENGSHUi also return to the seaside after delivering iconic sets in previous years.

Burn It Down’s commitment to hardcore is dialled up even further in 2026, with TRC, The Chisel, Your Demise, and more taking over the Attic stage.

The festival’s beloved Skate Park also returns for 2026, promising blistering punk performances and a couple of special surprises. It sits right beside the merch and food hall, which this year introduces a brand‑new vegan food market.

With its trademark blend of UK alternative talent, global heavy-hitters, and sun‑drenched Devon energy, Burn It Down is gearing up for another unforgettable year. And with more surprises still to come, 2026 is shaping up to be one for the books.
