The band have been personally asked to support Paolo Nutini in July on his Italian dates.

The tightly-packed single features an medley of guitars, keyboard and smashing drums tipped off with the might choral power of frontman Martin Finnigan.

With high-shine production, it is a noteworthy example of how the genre can manifest itself in pop music today.

The song was chosen as a single after an “overwhelming” reaction from The Rainband’s live performances last year.

And for much of their live catalogue, they drew swords with rock’n’roll royalty The Kaiser Chiefs and Simple Minds, and also sharing stages with numerous well-known acts, including Ocean Colour Scene.

Jim Kerr of Simple Minds was so astounded when he heard The Rainband that he phoned up Finnigan personally to book them as their support act for their upcoming tour.

Noel Gallagher has also endorsed The Rainband, along with many music journalists across the board.

And their successes have continued - The Rainband were also hand-picked by 02 as
Rising Stars for the British Music Awards - and have played part in raising £25,000 for charity with a top ten single. (indie charts)

Just last year the band made their debut appearance one of Glastonbury Festival’s main stages, which was also played by The Vaccines and Everything Everything.

And they wasted no time - having just recovered from a UK and European tour in November.

Alongside Finnigan, there is co-founder guitarist Phil Rainey, who is the former bandmate of Peter Hook in Monaco, drummer Steve Irlam, multi-instrumentalist Joe Wilson and Sam Wilson on bass.

Formed in 2009, they have released two EP's and several singles, while also enhancing their line-up.
