A heady blend of classic rock, Indie, relentless riffs, progressive beats and sublime vocals are the ingredients that fuel Warme’s addiction to sound.
The five-piece from Bradford have worked previously with guest keyboard player Ian Maclagen (The Small Faces, Rolling Stones) on an album that was recorded in Madrid. Tours in Europe, tons of festival appearances and press as far afield as the USA followed. The band have a strong DIY outlook, with masses of self belief and honesty in their music. Taking influence from classic artists such as Thin Lizzy to Paul Weller, Warme are due to strike the match on 2014 with a new single ‘Monday Comedown’. Frontman Lee Walsh says:
‘The song is about something most of us know. Massive weekend, overindulging, boozing – then waking up on Monday morning and hating going to work – especially with no recollection of the weekend’s events!’
The accompanying video tells just that tale – one sure to be repeated this weekend; after a set of dates Warme performed a showcase set at Latest Music Bar in Brighton as part of The Great Escape on Friday 9th May.
