HOPE & GLORY FESTIVAL is a weekend of incredible live music, art and outrageous silliness
in the heart of Liverpool. This brand new festival for Liverpool, taking place on 5 & 6 August, is set against the stunning Victorian backdrop of the World Museum, City Library and St. George’s Hall and Gardens.
Amongst the lineup, which includes JAMES, RAZORLIGHT & OCEAN COLOUR SCENE, is a fab Southampton based 4 piece called WILD FRONT, we chatted to the guys about the Hope & Glory Festival, The Beatles and their plans for the rest of the summer.
How does it feel to be playing the inaugural Hope & Glory Festival, in Liverpool this August?
Yeah, we're well excited. Haven't played there before and there are some great acts on line up we're excited to check out.
Have you been to Liverpool before? And do you have any fond memories of Liverpool?
I don't think any of us have ever been to Liverpool let alone played so we're pretty excited!
The line-up for Hope & Glory is really exciting and fans are in for ‘A Festival of Anthems’. What do you think makes the perfect festival anthem? and what is your favourite?
A catchy hook. Big guitars. Always essential. We saw Foo Fighters at Glasto this year and 'The Pretender' stood out as one of the best!
Are there any other bands on the bill you are hoping to see?
Yeah loads! Really excited to catch The Fratellis
It is 50 years since the release of The Beatles’ Sgt. Pepper’s. What do The Beatles mean to you? Do they influence your music?
I think it's impossible to not be influenced by The Beatles. They've done so much for music and Sgt. Peppers is just incredible.
Do you have a favourite Sgt. Pepper’s track? ‘
"A Day in the Life" would probably be my personal fave
What are your plans for the rest of the year after you play Hope & Glory?
Loads of gigging and writing. They're the things we love the most!
We'd like to thank the guys for sparing their time to chat to us and we look forward to seeing them at Hope & Glory in Liverpool. You can keep up to date with the band at the following sites;
