The Rural Alberta Advantage released their highly-anticipated third album, Mended With Gold, on September 29th. The twelve-track album was recorded at Toronto's Candle Recording with the band's long-time live engineer Matt Lederman (Hayden, !!!, BesnardLakes) alongside  co-producer Leon Taheny (Owen Pallett, Austra, F*cked Up).

The solo careers of vocalist and guitarist Andrew, drummer Daniel and bass player Mitch collided on London’s vibrant music scene creating Immigrants.  Impromptu jams led effortlessly into songwriting sessions inspired by shared influences such as Faith No More, Queens Of The Stone Age, Nirvana, Soundgarden and Barkmarket.

The scandinavian summer is coming to an end and darkness approaches slowly. The last dance is drawing near and it’s time to bring someone with you through the passage into autumn’s gloomy shimmer . And while you slow dance your way there, Spend The Night is your soundtrack. 

Electric Woodland was formed in 2009 when they decided to organize a mini festival in their hometown called Rune Rock. The festival needed a band, so they started one! After a few years of Rune Rock, the band started to take other gigs and write their own songs , which resulted in an EP in the spring of 2011. After a few years of writing and more gigs came their debut album in 2013! This was recorded on Snaxville Recordings in Skogbygda.

We caught up with the guys and chatted about Electric Ladyland's (not lady gardens), the Norwegian music scene and how two of the band are teachers, here's how we got on....

North-East five-piece Fractions are set to release their ethereal self-titled EP this September. A momentous piece developed from sweat, blood and glorious determination, this is Fractions’ debut EP and marks the beginning of an exciting new future for the bourgeoning outfit.

The injunction has been lifted and the electronic tags removed (much obliged, Your Majesty) and so we can take it to the streets with our parole officer as roadie.  The first show in the book is at the Queen of Hoxton on the 1st October and we'll be in touch soon when there's a show near you.
