The first album since 2013, which revolved around the drummer, Zac Farro's, return and reiterated to their fans there was no need to worry about the musical journey of the band and the death of teen angst being over as they were still working together creatively. However it's been a long and treacherous path to get to that place with various changes in line up and so, to me, who's followed them for a considerable amount of time it seems to be that this album is more of a rebirth and has a sense of new beginnings rather than a revival.

This isn't the first time that The Kooks have played at Plymouth Pavilions, I am struggling to locate the exact number of appearances but I imagine it would have been sometime during the release of their debut album Inside In/Inside Out back in 2006. We were invited to come along and catch the show, I was keen to see how their material had weathered over the past 11 years and whether they still had what it takes to put on a great show....

Fink, also known as Fin Greenall, is an English singer, songwriter, guitarist, producer and DJ, born in Cornwall and currently based in Berlin and London. Having a career that has spanned over 25 years, Fink has developed from his early stages as a DJ and Producer to an artist who has collaborated with artists like Amy Winehouse, John Legend and Professor Green. Continuing to explore different styles of music, we managed to catch him at the Jazz Cafe in Camden where he was stopping off to play his latest album, “Fink’s Sunday Night Blues Club, Vol.1”.

We heard that the band were heading to Exeter to play at The Terrace on May 18th so thought we'd get in touch to see if they were, after 10 years, still worried about Ray. Read on to see how we got on....
