We checked the weather forecast ahead of the festival, rain, lots of it with the occasional thunderstorm.....Ideal! Being the stiff upper-lipped types that we Brits are, we weren’t going to let a few drops of the wet stuff deter us from having an amazing time at one of Devon’s most prestigious smaller, family friendly events of 2017, yes folks, it was time for Chagstock!

With a ton of bands, more food than you could possibly dream of consuming over the weekend and lashings of ale and cider, it was looking like a wet weekend, read on to see how things panned out....

Amongst the stellar lineup which includes JAMES, RAZORLIGHT & OCEAN COLOUR SCENE, is a Glasgow based 3 piece called THE FRATELLIS, you know, that band who released the ear-worms "Chelsea Dagger" & "Whistle for the Choir", well, we caught up with BAZ FRATELLI from the band to chat about the festival....

It was 20 yrs ago that I bought and first played the debut release Word Gets Around from Welsh rockers STEREOPHONICS, which in my eyes was rammed full of  instant crowd pleasing tracks such as "Local Boy in the Photograph" and "More Life in a Tramp's Vest" really having a big effect on me back in the heady days of my 20's.  

Fast forward 20 years and here I am at Plymouth Pavilions, eagerly waiting for the band that turned a nation on to their brand of instantly lovable rock music, a nation that would remain loyal followers to this very day. Read on to find out how the evening unfolded. 

MILES HUNT & ERICA NOCKALLS' new album "We Came Here to Work" will be released on September 9th and to promote it, they are embarking on a MASSIVE 26 date tour which takes them all over the UK.

We caught up with Miles to chat about the album, his next two books and his travel plans for the forthcoming tour....

We caught up with front man JOHN ROBB from THE MEMBRANES to chat about the festival....

"You cannot continue to record and simply hope that your audience will approve, or that average critics will approve, or that radio will approve,” says Morrissey. “You progress only when you wonder if an abnormally scientific genius would approve – and this is the leap The Smiths took with The Queen Is Dead."

Yes folks, BLOODSTOCK 2017 takes place between 10th - 13th August at Catton park in Derbyshire, come on inside and take a listen to our playlist featuring loads of bands who will be playing at the festival.

On "L.A. Sunset", the band had this to say;

"We are releasing this as our first single because we believe it encapsulated all of our influences and styles. The intro is a fresher sound for us - more relaxed and poppy - that our local listeners may be surprised to hear. The body of the song is our more typical psych-surf style to get new listeners familiar with our sound. While the ending is a drawn-out, heavy psychedelic climax to keep people wanting more".
