On what is the first show of 2020 and the first show of the new decade, I was inundated with tracks from bands and artists vying to get a slot on my playlist. We chat to Exeter based musician MATT PALMER midway through the show, make sure you listen to that as we cover loads of topics including his recording process, social media, making videos and we also check out four of Matt’s fave tracks.

Having sold ALL tickets in less than 5 minutes, expectations were high to see Harrison Armstrong, better known as ‘AITCH, perform at Exeter’s Lemongrove.

Hailing from the mean and moody streets of Manchester, his debut track ‘Straight Rhymez’ has garnered over 17 million views and bought his music to the attention of Stormzy.

The ‘Lemmy’ was packed from the get go, fans of all ages filled the bar before the night’s entertainment kicked off.

After 30 years, Jonn and Rat from Ned’s Atomic Dustbin decided it was time to strap on an acoustic guitar and record 14 of their classic hits for an album called Ned’s Acoustic Dustbon.

I was invited to interview both Jonn and Rat before the release of the album (which landed before Christmas) but owing to a bit of a mix up, I only got the time slot through this morning, luckily a few days ahead of the run of UK live dates.

We had a good chat about the recording process for the new album (involving the one and only Mr Miles Hunt from The Wonder Stuff), their classic T-Shirts (including the name of the spongey ink they used) and what it means to them to go out and play to a room full of adoring fans, read on for all this and so much more!

Limited tickets available Friday 24th January at 9am.

North American Spring Tour Dates Announced

Don’t you just LOVE January, nobody has any money, the bin collections are all over the place, you find half an uneaten turkey in the fridge and you already broke all your resolutions before midnight on New Years Eve…..Yep, it kinda sucks……or does it?

A phenomenal artist called DANIEL STEER will be hosting an album launch show at THE BARREL HOUSE in Totnes on Friday 31st January and you need to make sure that you’re there.

To say that this is a ‘feel good’ album is somewhat of an understatement, in fact, I challenge ANYONE to listen to Cory Wong’s new album Elevator Music For An Elevated Mood and not feel great by the time the dying embers of the final track disappear into the ether.

‘And It’s Still Alright’ out Feb 14th on Stax Records

We were fortunate to see a band called SOOT SPRITE perform in Torquay just before Christmas, I have a feeling I may have seen them before but this was the first time I actually stood and watched their entire set, I liked it, I liked it a lot, I liked it so much, I chatted to Eli afterwards and she agreed to take part in an ‘Introducing’ feature for the site. We discussed topics such as how she first got into music, influences that made her want to pick up a guitar in the first place and of course, which three things she simply cannot live without, read on to find out all this and more….
