Finnish Helsinki-based stoner rock band Alkemia released their first single ‘Unida’ which also includes B-side named Kääntöpuoli.

Following up previous release ‘Need To Live’, this new anthem is a combination of soaring synths, pulsing bass lines, driving guitar riffs and rhythms, and hard-hitting drums.

Bolton-upon-Dearne’s The Sherlocks were certainly a slow-burn overnight sensation. Ascending swiftly from stints in working men’s clubs to rammed, buzzing and riotous gigs on the nearby Sheffield scene, they were embraced as the city’s next big guitar stars, set to launch the next wave of Sheffield alt-rock. Which they did: and as they stepped onto the NME/Radio 1 Stage at the Leeds leg of Reading & Leeds 2017, they announced to a rammed tent that their debut album Live For The Moment had, that very day, entered the UK albums chart at Number Six.

Taken from his eagerly anticipated new record ‘Survival of the Friendliest’, it’s a chipper new track from an artist completely high on life. As Beans states:

“I love life. I'm constantly inspired by the crazy world in which we find ourselves. The road ahead may not be an easy one, but I refuse to believe it's all for nothing and that we should roll over and quietly wait for extinction. If that's the future we imagine, then that's the future we will get. We need to visualise a better future. We need to adapt, and we need to celebrate the things worth celebrating. That's what this song is, a celebration of life and our future. Bring it on. Chaos and all.”

Their sound is rich in complex harmonies and catchy melodies and sits somewhere in the middle of the early works of Arctic Monkeys and The Kooks. In 2017 they released their first EP 'Stay With Izzy', currently they are working on their debut album.
