Critically acclaimed singer-songwriters Jamie Lawson, Gemma Hayes, Richard Walters and Laura Zocca join forces for a special acoustic round show, unlike any other gig you will go to this year. Each artist will perform a song, followed by the next act, the show will move around from artist to artist, like a tag team of traditional singing troubadours! The show will feature familiar songs plus original brand new music from each of the acts.

With the sun at its peak a weary desert traveller picks their way across the soft sandy floor trying to forget a lost love or maybe a past best forgotten. Today (1st March 2022) marks the release of the debut album from Devon based quartet RED STITCHES.

To celebrate the release, we caught up with the band a few days back to chat about how the band came to be, home recording techniques, dream festival lineups, dinner party menus and musical influences. For all of this and way more, read on…..

To celebrate the forthcoming release of the album and as an excuse to have a chat with them both (it’s been far too long!), I thought it would be good to create a Q&A session with the ladies from SOTS, we did just that and covered some interesting topics such as the creation of the new record, how they managed to rope in Saul Davies from the famous band JAMES (Sit Down, Come Home etc…), which places and venues they’re excited about playing and most importantly, how they’re preparing themselves (well, their livers) for the Mad Dog Gypsy Caravan Weekender….

Alli Bean is an independent R&B/Jazz musician who resides in Victoria, BC, Canada. Her debut album, Outside Voice is set to release on all platforms on June 1st 2022. The first single, ‘Twenty Questions’ is sure to get your toes-a-tappin’ and If you count carefully, there are actually 20 questions in there!

We wanted to chat to Alli Bean about the making of the album, her musical influences, early memories, who she used to pretend to be when she was singing into her hairbrush in her bedroom and most importantly what she’s going to cook for the musomuso team when we descend upon Victoria, BC in the future.

After two cancellations, the expectant hardcore Stranglers fans were well up for the show in Bristol and anyone who hadn't been blown away by storm Eunice, were certainly blown away here for a sold out night of musical entertainment laid on by the headliners and their brilliant supported act Ruts DC.

I’m actually struggling to think about what to write in these intro sections of the playlists, I guess doing one a week was okay but when you’re pumping them out every couple of days, you end up thinking about the same things each time and it starts to get a bit repetitive, maybe I’ll start to throw in random stuff like shopping lists and recipe ideas to give you something else to read rather than me emptying my head at the end of a hard day’s work!

So my lovelies, what have we in store for you on this, the 24th edition of the musomusofm on the radar playlist? You can expect some killer new tracks from acts including May Roze, Lavender Honey, Salvatore Manalo and Toyz to name just 4 of the 9 acts included.

May Roze is a London based singer-songwriter-producer, born and raised in Switzerland. True to her Aquarius sign, she loves to create and innovate and has been focusing on this since the start of her journey years ago. Knowing where she was heading from the start, she performed on stage for the first time at just 3 years old!

After hearing her recently released single ‘Heal’, we wanted to learn more about this incredible musician and delve back into her younger years where she started performing from the age of 3!

We caught up with May Roze and had a great chat about her early days, influences, home life, the music scene in both Switzerland and London and most importantly, what she’ll be preparing for us when we come round for dinner! For all of this and a LOT more, carry on reading!
