Tonight saw a stunning night of live music at the Ashburton Arts Centre in the heart of the countryside town. Chris Cleverley was supported by Ollie Dixon and his band and the place was fit to burst with a near capacity audience.

Back to the music, we have 9 tracks from bands and artists all over the world including Sonic Winter, Fonzy and Company and My Cousin’s Girlfriend’s House. Ever since my ears were treated to a live show a good few years back, I have been telling anyone who will listen (people normally wander off after a couple of hours) that Mother Vulture are THE best band in the entire world. Some disagree, I tell them to catch one of their live shows and it’s amazing how many come back to me and agree!

New York, New York... ever had a deep and instant affinity with a place? This song explores just that... Entangled in a mesh of love-at-first-sight for this unique city, and a feeling of freedom and discovery, 'Night Eyes Paradise' has more depth than you could ever imagine for a commercial pop track.

Upbeat in nature, well crafted with intricate guitar melodies, wonderfully relatable lyrics and a driving beat that is guaranteed to have the masses singing along in unison when they perform this as part of their live set. ‘Paris’ is a bonafide banger, the ‘piece de la resistance’ of their show, guaranteed to summon more than a few oooh’s and ahhh’s as its sonic pleasures unfold.

We caught up with SEA GIRLS playing their first UK live shows of 2022 in an exclusive run of intimate venues, partnered with local independent records stores, to celebrate the release of their new album Homesick, which was released on 25th March 2022 via Polydor Records. I joined them on their second show of the day at The Fleece in the heart of Bristol , alongside a full house of expectant fans.

Having made a name for himself as a session guitarist, Hicks released his first solo single at the start of 2017 following a soul searching writing trip to a secluded Cornish Airbnb garage with no internet or phone signal. Soon after he was made 'BBC Introducing Artist of the Week’, receiving extensive radio play across the U.K and also a CLASH ’Track of the Day’ feature.

Tonight was somewhat special, it wouldn’t be the first time that I had seen the surviving members of Pink Floyd in various guises over the years but it was the first time I had seen one of them on my doorstep in Plymouth! I saw Roger Waters et al at Wembley performing The Wall in its entirety (what a spectacle that was….), next up it was David Gilmour at the Royal Albert Hall and following that, I got lucky and managed to secure a ticket to see Nick Mason and his Saucerful of Secrets show at the Half Moon pub in Putney alongside a hundred or so other fans (including ex racing driver Damon Hill).

A couple of weekends ago, I attended RATTLER FEST in Cornwall, a 3 day music festival that took place on Healey’s cyder farm (the home of Rattler). Owing to other engagements, I was only able to attend on the Friday and Saturday and I knew that I was going to miss Adam Isaac, someone that I haven’t seen perform for a couple of years. I was gutted but I really needed to be elsewhere so after the event, I got in touch with the PR company and arranged to chat to Adam so I could create this interview feature.
