We at musomuso attend quite a few throughout the festival season but wanted to showcase 5 for you that appeal to young and old and feature many activities for you to enjoy as well as some amazing musical acts and bands to let your hair down to after a few hours in the sun!

Ahead of the release of their forthcoming album ‘Wonder’ (released on April 21st), we were keen to catch up with JODY and the Jerms, we did just that and had a good chat about their sound, working with Mark Gardener from indie pop legends RIDE, dream dinner parties and guests and things they CANNOT live without whilst on the road…..

After finding out that London based indie rockers Coral Palms were performing at The English Riviera Food and Music Festival, we just had to get in touch and find out a bit more about them. We chat about their favourite food, dream dinner guests, musical influences and more….

Nestled in the Cotswold Hills, in the lovely town of Stroud is the most wonderful pub and music venue,  The Prince Albert and on a recent Sunday night, the place echoed to the story telling of Will Varley, the punters listened, they sung and they were moved by the atmosphere and pure emotion drifting from the stage.

As we’re going to be covering the English Riviera Food and Music Festival, we wanted to chat to a few of the acts that will be entertaining the masses over the festival weekend, I saw that an act called Gecko and the Bee were playing on both the VIP and Main stages so naturally, I made a ‘bee’-line for her and got chatting.

Formed in Birmingham in 1989, OCS spent six years fine-tuning their sound before lighting up the Britpop party with three Top 5 albums; 1996’s ‘Moseley Shoals’, 1997’s ‘Marchin’ Already’ and 1999’s ‘One From The Modern’. The band has also achieved seventeen Top 40 singles, including a staggering run of nine successive Top 20 singles and a mantelpiece full of awards.

His music is faultless, even with the faults ; flawless, even with the flaws - there are very few of either. It’s like he’s created his own, unique brand of Americana, set in Australia, infused with folksy overtones and that clarion clear voice. His humour is highly developed - ‘You don’t need to rock out to be a rock roller.’ There’s a story about London but then he self-deprecates ‘there’s nothing there…’ This cultivated, easy-going charisma is what keeps us coming back for more.

Following the release of his latest and ninth album (watch my moves) back in 2022, acclaimed musician, songwriter and producer Kurt Vile & The Violators finally announces a 2023 headline tour set to stop in eight UK cities including SWX in Bristol on the 15th June ahead of a summer of European dates and festivals.
