Want to Break Into the Music Industry? Gain REAL experience with us....

June 11, 2026

musomuso is an independent UK music platform dedicated to championing emerging artists, live music, festivals and the grassroots scenes that keep the industry exciting.

We’re looking for a sharp, music‑obsessed Social & Editorial Assistant to help us grow our presence across Instagram, TikTok and YouTube Shorts. If you live on social media, love discovering new bands before anyone else, and want to break into music media, this could be the perfect first step.

In this role, you’ll help transform our reviews, interviews and gig coverage into social‑first content that feels fresh, fast and genuinely scroll‑stopping. That means short‑form video edits, artist spotlights, gig and festival recaps, new‑music discovery posts, and carousels that actually make people stop and pay attention. You’ll also be writing clean, punchy captions that sound human, not corporate, and you’ll be encouraged to bring your own ideas to the table. If you know your way around Canva or CapCut, enjoy being at gigs, and understand how music discovery works online, you’ll fit right in. You don’t need years of experience — just taste, reliability and enthusiasm.

Although this is an unpaid role, it offers real value for anyone wanting to build a career in music, entertainment, social content or live events. You’ll gain bylines on a respected platform, create portfolio‑ready content that will strengthen your CV, and receive professional mentoring from the editor and our experienced editorial team. There will also be opportunities to attend gigs and festivals for coverage, depending on your location. For the right person, this could grow into a longer‑term role within music media, PR or events.

The commitment is just one feature per week for twelve weeks, and the role is fully remote, with optional gig and festival coverage where possible.

To apply, send a short introductory piece about yourself, three artists you think musomuso should be paying attention to, and one kick‑ass idea for a recurring social feature that you’d love to create.
