My current goto electro-pop artist is without a doubt Alan Dreezer. He first caught my attention with the release of his debut album titled ‘London E12’ back in 2018. This is an incredible electro-pop album and was the best introduction I could have had to him as an artist. Now, he has released his new album 'H E A L E D' and has been dropping a string of singles leading up to its release yesterday.

Fans of Erik Odsell will be ecstatic to know that his incredible, 8-track album, titled ‘Human,’ will be released on vinyl this fall. I have been enjoying the album since its release and cannot wait to hear it in record form. This kind of high-quality album deserves the full justice of being available in the listening format to end all listening formats.

Sam Thomas has been lurking around the scene through various different music projects (i.e. punk bands, indie bands, acoustic driven solo work etc). Though he has dabbled in a little bit of everything, he has finally found the artistic, musical medium that best suits his talents: his own brand of hip/hop. He has a new single in that vein that dropped on September 15th. 'No More' is masterfully crafted and structured in a way that ensures the message of the song is poignantly communicated.

The ‘Revive Live’ scheme has been organised by the Music Venues Trust, in conjunction with the National Lottery - which is contributing £1 million to help grass roots venues get back on their feet after 18 months of near inactivity.

More than 20 tours will be staged with this money, featuring the likes of Olivia Dean, Twin Atlantic, The Magic Gang and The Futureheads, Pip Blom, Wolf Alice, Frank Turner and Bob Vylan at venues across the UK.

Tonight, it was Exeter Phoenix that played host to The Vaccines, a band that have kept their heads above the sonic waterline with a plethora of hits from 5 albums since 2011.

Some call it the eighth wonder of the world, others call it a glorified garden centre, whatever you call it, Tonight saw IDLES play the Eden Project in Cornwall with their killer live show, supported by Spectres and Black Honey, read on to see how the evening panned out.

“There is a concept behind this album,” says the band. “We didn’t want to just put 12 high octane songs out there. Each song has a meaning and is relevant to the story that unfolds, so there’s more to it than meets the ear…for us, the title is significant to what we were experiencing as a band during the recording of this album. It was more of a rhetorical question to ourselves, and for anyone listening - if you really want something, go out and get it.”

Coinciding with the news of a run of UK live dates in support of The Vaccines this Autumn and their own headline show at London’s Shacklewell Arms on 2nd October, Icelandic DIY-pop duo BSÍ today share a brand new video for ‘My knee against kyriarchy’

Crazy Arm head out this autumn on a belated UK tour in support of their new album 'Dark Hands, Thunderbolts'. The album, their fourth on Xtra Mile Recordings, was released this January to rave reviews from critics and fans alike. This short UK tour includes two dates with their good friends, The Skints, while the London date is part of Till The Fest: a three-day independent punk festival featuring many luminaries of the UK underground. Crazy Arm headline the other four shows.

Warrington indie pop band The A.V. Club are back with their new single ‘I Think I’m Fallin’’, to be released on Friday 17th September 2021.

September 2021 - MARQ Electronica has released another fantastic and richly nuanced release named Spirit Of The Shaman. All of the ingredients for an excellent sonic mix are all there, and this new studio work feels like a perfect example of what this talented artist is capable of. Some musicians tend to get stuck to a single genre, but this is definitely not MARQ Electronica’s case. He feels quite comfortable in exploring different ideas and creative avenues, going for a diverse and one-of-a-kind feel. Sometimes, you’ve got to look back in order to move forward, and it feels like MARQ Electronica learned this valuable lessons, as his music has a retro twist in some ways, although it still feels fresh and unapologetically modern, unafraid to explore new territories and cover new ground with some incredibly cool arrangements and instrument ideas to spice up the mix.

Proving to be an unstoppable force in 2021 with hundreds of millions of streams and tastemaker praise, UK pop singer and songwriter Mimi Webb reveals the dates for her 2022 European headline tour. The six-week run kicks off on January 19th at Melkweg OZ in Amsterdam, visits major markets across Europe and concludes back at London’s O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire. It will be her first European jaunt in support of her debut “Seven Shades of Heartbreak EP”, which can be pre-ordered HERE, and the full tour dates are below.

We were invited to head to the seaside and spend a day (and night) at BURN IT DOWN FESTIVAL which took place across three venues in the heart of Torquay, read on to see how we got on….

I’ve heard a lot about PALM READER but not a lot by them. Upon seeing that they were booked to perform at this year’s BURN IT DOWN FESTIVAL in the heart of Torquay, I decided to open up Pandora’s Box and take a listen, I’m glad I did! After filling my cup (and then some), I thought I’d drop the band a line and see if they wanted to answer a few questions about what it means to be playing at the festival and also what it means to be out performing to a live audience once again….

They are playing as part of the BURN IT DOWN FESTIVAL that is taking place over 10th and 11th September across three venues in the heart of Torquay.

I caught up with the drummer (Chris) and had a chat about the festival and what the audience can expect….
