2023 marks the 10th Anniversary of Bastille’s chart-conquering, twice No.1 debut album, ‘Bad Blood. In celebration of its release the band announce a series of very special one-off shows next summer, giving fans the opportunity to hear the album played live in its entirety alongside other fan favorites.

They say that every month has 28 days, some have 30 and others have 31, January on the other hand has 456, at least this is what it feels like after Christmas and New Year!

What we need to blow away the blues are a few killer gigs to look forward to and it looks like I have the tonic that you need to get you through until pay day….

The British Artist/Multi-Instrumentalist/Producer & Engineer uses his songs to take us on a musical saga and brings us to a new sonic territory with his latest release 'Elements'.

Billie Marten has announced her fourth record Drop Cherries for release on 7 April via Fiction Records. Recorded entirely on tape in Somerset and Wales late last summer, Drop Cherries marks the very first time that Billie Marten has both written and co-produced (with Dom Monks) one of her records; following critically-lauded 2021 album Flora Fauna, Feeding Seahorses by Hand (2019) and Writing of Blues and Yellows (2016). 

I entered the venue confused, not in a fuddled state of mind but confused about the band. What I had heard to date was a cross between sickly sweet pop sing-a-longs and stadium sized catchy bangers that go down a storm at large outdoor festivals in front of a sea of 18-25 year olds after a day on the cider.

Taking place on Tuesday 17th January 2023 from 7PM at The Jolly Farmer, Newton Abbot, the evening includes a short documentary, a fun quiz with great prizes, comic tales from the crazy world of record retailing and a Q&A with Graham Jones and Pip Piper, the film's director.

Multi-platinum selling recording artist, songwriter and trailblazer Miley Cyrus has released “Flowers” the first single from her forthcoming eighth studio album Endless Summer Vacation, available globally on March 10th. 

Following the release of their acclaimed double album '1st Congregational Church of Eternal Love (and free hugs)’, a successful year of touring in Europe and Japan and a special one-off single ‘Gimme Some Truth', Kula Shaker will play 14 dates in January and February 2023. The ‘Eternal Love Tour’ will see the band playing venues from Edinburgh to Exeter and follows the December sell-out show at London’s Shepherds Bush Empire.

Bristol punkers CUFFS have announced a tour that kicks off on January 6th in Newport followed by a few more dates in February covering Reading, London, Brighton, Birmingham, Manchester and Leeds.

A fantastic event has been setup to raise money for the Forward for Wiz Trust and to gather as many friends together for a wonderful night of live music, entertainment with a host of comperes and the best of all, there’s a raffle…..

StormbounD band was formed in 2018 in Tel-Aviv, Israel by bassist Pavel Kleiman and guitarist and vocalist Ofer Friedman. Next to join were Ofer's wife Shani Friedman on guitar, Yuval Partush on drums, Rotem Sadia on the keyboard, and Yael Horwitz as lead singer. All members of the band are well-established professional musicians. Their latest album, December, was released on August 5th 2022. We caught up with the band to find out a bit more about them….

It’s a cold, cold Saturday evening and there is snow in the air. We could be tucked up in the warm, but we are on a boat, the fantastic music venue Thekla, an old cargo ship moored in the Mud Dock area of Bristol’s Floating Harbour and we are about to experience one of my nights of this year in the company of the incredible Skinny Lister.

Pet Needs brought their ‘A game’ to Bristol recently and showed a full house at The Exchange just why they have had such a massive 2022 while releasing a new album and touring just about everywhere!

Wowzers, I just looked at the calendar and realised that 2022 is fast coming to a close, we’d best have a look back at some of the fine records released during the year and combine them into a list to show which one we think is best and the other 9 that made the shortlist, we’ll call it the musomuso top ten album list for 2022 (rolls off the tongue perfectly)….

Having been evicted from the World Cup earlier in the evening, I was expecting glum looking faces, crying into their craft ales at the New Lion Brewery but instead, the place was packed out with gleeful groovers who appeared to be loving life despite the footie result.
