Recorded entirely on tape in Somerset and Wales late last summer, Drop Cherries marks the very first time that Billie Marten has both written and co-produced (with Dom Monks) one of her records; following critically-lauded 2021 album Flora Fauna, Feeding Seahorses by Hand (2019) and Writing of Blues and Yellows (2016).

What I had heard to date was a cross between sickly sweet pop sing-a-longs and stadium sized catchy bangers that go down a storm at large outdoor festivals in front of a sea of 18-25 year olds after a day on the cider.

StormbounD band was formed in 2018 in Tel-Aviv, Israel by bassist Pavel Kleiman and guitarist and vocalist Ofer Friedman. Next to join were Ofer's wife Shani Friedman on guitar, Yuval Partush on drums, Rotem Sadia on the keyboard, and Yael Horwitz as lead singer. All members of the band are well-established professional musicians. Their latest album, December, was released on August 5th 2022. We caught up with the band to find out a bit more about them….
