Renowned concert organist Alexander Ffinch has once again pushed the boundaries of classical music with the release of his latest album, Parallels. Featuring an eclectic mix of pieces, including an unconventional but captivating rendition of Coldplay’s hit song "Paradise," this album showcases Ffinch’s ability to blend the classical with the contemporary, appealing to a wide and diverse audience.

The beginnings’ of The Pirate Album’s were unusual. Whilst working on his film compositions, Will Bates rented a fifteen foot long balafon (gourd-resonated xylophone) without consulting the director. His close friend and renowned percussionist Mathias Kunzli jumped to lend his hand to some of Will’s sketches, along with six other balafons, for a blossoming film project. All was going well. However, when the director and Will then met at the studio, he was neither impressed nor amused.

Released on the 10th of July, this single is a taste of what’s to come in their upcoming album, set to dominate playlists later this year.

The 11-song alternative folk album emerged during the final touches of his upcoming release ‘Caviar For Seagulls.’ Through a blend of reality and fiction, ‘Clay’ is set to stun listeners with his exploration of the cyclical nature of complicated relationships, painting an atmospheric soundscape of a character ensnared in romantic complexities. 

‘Do Time’ is the latest offering from Centric, and marks his first collaboration with acclaimed Grenadan songwriter CJae. The track is a masterclass in the best of Afrobeat and R&B genres, showcasing the unique musical synergy between the two songwriting pros.
